Star Wars Sketch Dump #1: Princess Leia

OK, here we are with some rough sketches for my big Star Wars project that I've been working on for about...a long time.

These are Princess Leia designs. She's kind of fun to draw. She can be sexy and have a lot of spirit and personality, so I'm just trying to find the pose that exhibits that best.

The Second Coming...

Hey, all. Just wanted to post a quick message that this is a new beginning for my blog. I took a bit of a hiatus for personal reasons, but now I'm back in action.
I have some new stuff to post and I'll be making regular updates, so don't jump ship just yet.
I haven't gone anywhere, really, just floating around making sure things are in order.

Oops...I Did It Again...

I forgot to pick up some things while I was out the other day...I need a notebook to write down story ideas and a little, pocket-size sketch diary (so I can jot down story and character ideas when I'm on the road and I don't have access to the comfort of home) and some 4H pencils for layout duties.

I cleared off my drawing table and reorganized it a bit to make it more conducive to the creative process. In turn, I've been using it, though I've been having to drag a chair downstairs...I need to get a new office chair that I can use instead.

I'm not getting as much back for my taxes as I'd hoped...I was planning on using part of that for supplies and such...I guess I'll have to make the best of it then.

Trying to Stay Regular...

I'm just trying to get my drawing groove back...just been doing some exercises to get back in the zone...
I have some drawing ideas, but so far, they're not really coming out as well as I want them to...so, I just need to doodle til I get it right...

I'm gonna buy a notebook to take with me along with my sketchbook, so that when I get an idea for a scene, I can write it out, possibly with dialogue and I can do some layout sketches to go along with it...it'll definitely slow the process of getting anything down to publish, but I think it'll be beneficial in the end because I won't be impatient and just rush to get something done...

Brainstorming...

So, I had an idea about writing this comic...I should just write certain scenes as they come to me, make a folder, then when I have what I need, put it all together and fill in the gaps as I go along...

I think that sounds logical, don't you?

I'm also trying to get back to my older, more stylized style of drawing. I've been pulling away from that lately, and it just looks like everything else out there, so I've been doodling and sketching trying to get my groove back...I'm going to finish the pieces I started and I'll post them later, but while I'm doing that, I'm trying to regain my mojo...

No, Really, I Mean It This Time...

I will be updating over here more often...

I haven't had a whole lot of time to work on this darn comic since I last posted...I had that crappy, full-time job with the wonky hours that really inhibited any kind of free time I thought I may have...Once I started school, it all went downhill and, long story short, I have no job now...but, I'm still in school...so, I'm gonna try and juggle that with finding a job and working on the comic site...I hope to have made some considerable progress by the end of summer and hopefully have something ready to go by the end of the year...

So, I'll still be posting art and story updates, so look for those...

Well, started some writing...going pretty well...I have the prologue and some character notes...still working on a few names though...those are tougher than one would think...sheesh...

Haven't done any sketches yet...I want to get the plot written down first...just a rough draft is all I need for now...then I can transcribe it and start making my changes...

I have some ideas for the look of the site, but I need to figure out how to use Dreamweaver first...best go to the store and find a book or something...
